K12 Online Conference 2007 - You have to virtually be there!

I’ve been tagged by Chris Betcher to pass on this meme about the K12 Online conference.

Here’s what you’re asked to do… simply create a blog post where you include this flyer image and then list three reasons to participate based on your experience from last year or, if you didn’t attend last year, write three things you hope to gain from taking part this year. Once you’ve written your 3 things, then tag several others who will do the same thing. After you tag someone in your post, please email them to let them know so they can help spread the word.

I didn’t attend last years conference, so the three things I hope to gain from taking part in this years conference are:

1.I am really looking forward to simply talking to some of the conference participants about what they are doing in there own classrooms and how. There is really nothing much more valuable than networking with peers and being inspired by the everyday happenings in someone else’s classroom.

2. I am very keen to be part of the new tools strand, particularly the session on using cell phones in the classroom. I’d really like to take part in Kevin Jarrett and Syliva Martinez’s session on Second Life. I can see massive potential for the virtual world in classrooms and would really like to learn more.

3.I am looking forward to roping some of my colleagues in to this conference and seeing their reactions to it all!
